Basic Balsamic Caramelized Onions

These caramelized onions are an amazing addition to a burger, pizza, omelette, eggs Benny, or steak.  They add tons of flavour and are easy to make.  It is the topping that makes a meal!  Give them a try
 
Ingredients:
1 large sweet onion (or 2-3 small cooking onions)
2 tsp balsamic vinegar
1 tsp olive oil
Chicken or Vegetable stock (as needed)
salt and pepper to taste

 Slice onions thinly.  Heat oil in a pan and add onions, cook for a few minutes and add balsamic vinegar and salt and pepper. 


As liquid disappears continue to add chicken or vegetable stock as needed.  Cook until onions become soft and golden in colour.

 Add to any burger, pizza, omelette, eggs Benny, or steak!!
