Chocolate Potato Chip Clusters

I was on a road trip this summer and my friend Nikki stocked up on some good chocolate for the trip.  Our favorite was a dark chocolate and potato chip chocolate bar (it even beat out sea salt and caramel!)  My Aunt makes a milk chocolate version which is also very tasty.  I made both kinds and experimented with different kinds of chips for the salt and crunch.  This treat is sweet, salty and crunchy.  You would never  guess that the secret ingredient is potato chips!
Dark Chocolate and Sweet Potato Chip Clusters:
- 200g bar of dark chocolate (70% or darker)
- 1 bag of kettle chips or sweet potato chips
- mini cupcake liners

Milk Chocolate Potato Chip Clusters:
- 1 package butterscotch chips
- 1 package peanut butter chips
- 1 package chocolate chips
- 1 bag of potato chips

Step #1 Crush the chips into small pieces and set aside in a bowl

Step #2 In a double boiler (or a saucepan with a metal bowl on top).  Boil water and then add broken up chocolate (or chocolate chips) to the double boiler.  Stir constantly until smooth.

Step #3 Add the melted chocolate into the bowl of chips and stir until coated.

Step #4 Take a small spoonful and drop in the mini cupcake liners. Let cool.

Both the dark and milk chocolate clusters!
